DEAD AIR FOR RADIOS

The solo effort of Dream Theaters ex-keyboardist is the last thing you'd expect from someone who used to play in a band renowned for their instrumental excesses and drawn-out songs. It serves more effectively than any words Kevin Moore could have uttered to explain why he left the band.

DAFR is a slow, mellow and melancholic album, filled with textures and melodies instead of scale runs and 40-character song titles. It's a short ride, but an enjoyable one.
