One of Zorn's 50-th Birthday Series album, and possibly, the craziest one. Yamataka Eye collaborates with John from old times, but usually his name on the cover means radical experimentation.

Generally, this album's music is combination of free-jazz and free-form experimental sound is a risky mix. John Zorn plays sax, Yamataka Eye - electronic effects and sings (wordless vocal, which in fact is just one more sound instrument in this mixture). Guitarist Fred Frith is stated between musicians as well, but his appearance there is mostly symbolic.

So - the music there contains minimalistic electronic noises, loops, plenty of free-jazz trumpet improvisation and some voice improvisations as well. I can't say, that this album is unlistenable, but it is cooked for very dedicated listener.

Generally I like all forms of free-jazz and avant-jazz, as well some experimental music, but this work is more interesting, than pleasant to listen even for me.

Beside Hemophiliac, one of most radical Zorn's project. For extreme sound lovers or heavy Zorn collectors only.
