5 stars I've followed Pendragon since their beginnings as a bunch of young lads who wanted to sound like Genesis. They've had their ups and downs (well, the only real down being Kowtow) but have made some brilliant albums along the way. The Masquerade Overture seemed to be their absolute peak... subsequent albums were still very good, but typically safe... kinda how Clutching at Straws rates versus Script or Misplaced Childhood. Then came Pure....... Pendragon threw off the confines of Genesis and Camel, and embraced Porcupine Tree! The results are brilliant. Indigo may well be their greatest song. Pure may well be their greatest album. As a long, long time fan, I liked my Genesis/Floyd sound-alikes, but we have 30 years of that to treasure.... let's now treasure the 'new-not-neo-Pendragon.' I CAN'T WAIT to see how they evolve from here as the scope is now endless. A band reborn.
