1 stars Honestly,I don't know what happened to this band?I don't understand what they want to prove and what is the musical direction that they fallow with this new and so expected album? It says that genius are nor understood, and some artists are living before their time and in a different space ?!?!Could it be that?SCARSICK was the first sign that something happened with the inspirational source of POS!Well..I said to myself...it's a lack of imagination and the guys have taken too many not recommended pills or wead...An accident...an error! Then LINOLEUM was like a bolt thrown in my head.a true POS fan since ENTROPIA-and in my opinion LINOLEUM was a huge dissapointment under all aspects!!I said...WTF..this guys are into psychedelic or Hendrix mood...post grunge...or...nihilistic music...flower power mood ?!?!?!It's so sad that GILDENLOW's ideas are now going more and more into a twisted direction, honestly I think that not even himself is able to know what he does...musically speaking! This ROAD SALT one is pushing my sadness even further...and makes me so bad to discover a band in a big ,huge lack of inspiration and completely lost in it's musical identity!DANIEL GILDENLOW's voice is so beautiful and warm,he has an amazing vocal technique-but now POS's music is 99 % focused on GILDENLOW's voice and his inner beliefs and state of trance, exorcising demons and haunting his mental wounds maybe, sadly the other instruments are so weak and disposable...a poor accessory for a too introspective and personal music!Maybe the band should change the name in PAIN OF DANIEL GILDENLOW?!?!!?I don't know if they will gain new fans with this album-a new failure in my opinion-,I'm afraid they will loose many of them, and I don't know how the future looks for this guys!GILDENLOW looks sober and clean, but I'm afraid something bad happened to his psychic and the clouds are darker and heavier than those from the Iceland volcano for PAIN OF SALVATION!ROAD SALT ONE was an album that I've been waited for him so much, but in the end it turns into a major dissapointment and desillusion and I am afraid that this band has lost his soul and musical identity for good! And that's such a shame...they were fantastic in the beginning...until the BE masterpiece...but now...all is gone!Only 1 star...hardly given...only for Gildenlow's sensational voice!RIP-POS!
