4 stars Yet another fantastic effort from the Irons, but is it as good as their steller debut?...well i guess in a way, i mean theres not too many changes, you have your rockers (WRATHCHILD, MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGE) and the epic on the album (which in this case i guess is PRODIGAL SON even though its a good bit shorter than PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) there is 2 instrumentals in this album though opening track THE IDES OF MARCH and GENGHIS KHAN. Its also worth noteing that this is the last album to feature vocalist Paul Di'Anno and ends their 'rock and roll-ey' days (before they really started venturing into progressive music) its still a great add to the collection though and a worthwhile buy;

The Ides Of March - 7/10 Wrathchild - 8/10 Murders In The Rue Morgue -8/10 Another Life - 8/10 Genghis Khan - 9/10 Innocent Exile - 9/10 Killers - 9/10 Prodigal Son - 8/10 Purgatory - 8/10 Drifter - 8/10

MY CONCLUSION? another fine effort from Maiden..now on to their real prog days...
