4 stars OK, that's whats called American symphonic prog then.

I will make this short and sweet because of the other reviews of this album.

Where Shadow Circus debut album was far more accessible, the normally very difficult second album comes with some very complex songs....... or pieces of music to be precise. The opener Project Blue is a thirty-three minutes long suite, no less. The four other tracks is shorter songs. This is like a Rush album from the 1970s, just on a grander scale.

Music wise, this album comes across as a mix of Spock's Beard, Yes and Dream Theater though. All five songs are great pieces of music. Again, my main gripe is the lack of a killer tune like Yes has got with their Awaken and Dream Theater with Pull Me Under. And that is the only dot over the i Shadow Circus is missing right now. But I am very fond of Angel which is as close as Shadow Circus comes to the promised land.

In short, Whispers And Screams is a great symphonic prog album.
