4 stars Most of early ELOY fans consider COLOURS , TIME TO TURN and PLANETS as the weakest albums from the band.I don't agree at all, possibly, one can point a few ordinary tracks but it's impossible not to notice good and inpired pieces.like POINT OF NO RETURN ,a strong melody sustained by a lot of colourful keyboards, the only criticism could be about BORNEMANN voice ,a bit linear .MYSTERIOUS MONOLITH is another prog highlight with a strong bassline and filled with keys landscapes. There are nice violin sounds and female vocals through QUEEN OF THE NIGHT still with prominence of keyboards but it's a constancy in the whole album. SPHINX has some ATOM HEART MOTHER orchestral reminiscences and the closing title seems to be kind of wink to FLOYD with the syncopated bass line.I haven't been listening to ELOY for many years and it's been an enjoying experience, i hesitate between 3 and 4 stars and finaly ,i give 4 stars but i do realy think they could have choose better cover artwork .
