The band consider this album to be their first full length and it is a hefty achievement, displaying an ability to blend genres and a keen ear for melody. There is a dreamy element throughout the album despite being pretty heavy in places. I really love the flow of the album, which carries you on the crest of a wave through 50 minutes of beautifully layered sonic bliss. While some influences are carried brazenly (OCEANSIZE, MOGWAI, DEFTONES and MEW, to name a few), NEW GHOST have created their own musical space which I can best describe as dream prog. A very strong contender for album or the year 2024 for me. Special mention for Red & Blue which is a great place to start for prog fans who want to check the band out.
