IN THE WAKE OF EVOLUTION

The best Kaipa album of the new era not considering the 70s first three great albums. Since Kaipa started playing again in 2002 the albums have varied from good to great, this album is somewhere between great and excellent.

Lots of goodies here, from the excellent starter to my favourite song "Arcs of sound" we are treated with the strongest album so far in the new millenium. The vocals of Patrik Lundström och Aleena Gibson have never been better and this time they complete each other better than before. All of the songs are in the typical (new) Kaipa sound and there are few weak moments here.

If there were some complaints, I'd say some songs could have been a minute or two shorter, sometimes they go on a bit too long.

Top five of 2010, no doubt. Since I like this album so much I will give it 4.5 stars but it will turn out to be a five here. Highly recommended.
