2 stars In my reviews of the Uriah Heep albums "Sweet Freedom" and "High and Mighty" I wrote that they shared the position of being the worst (and when it's Uriah Heep we're talking about that is least good rather than worst really) Uriah Heep album of the 70's. I must however change that because the very least good Uriah Heep album from the 70's is in fact their debut. It is a quite straightforward 70's heavy metal album with just a few progressive elements. The songs are not as good as subsequent albums either. The difference in both style and quality to the follow up, and vastly better "Salisbury" album is huge. I recommend this album to fans and collectors only so make sure that you get all other Uriah Heep albums from the 70's (yes, even "Sweet Freedom" and "High and Mightly") before you get this one.
