Continuing the shattering technical assault that Destroy Erase Improve was all about, Chaosphere is an even darker and more twisted album. Intellectual thrash are still the key words here, but this one seems to fall more into a death metal category from the previous album. Once again, an incredibly solid album by tech-metal geniuses Meshuggah. A breath of dark mechanical air for the metal fans who miss groundbreaking and inventive music.
