1 stars This is the worse Yes album!I just remember when a saw a poster anouncing the release of this album in a record shop . My biggest surprise was the presence of 8 members and the return of Rick Wakeman,Bill Bruford and Steve Howe to the band. I just though " i have to buy it urgently" .And i did it! I was so sure about this feeling that my next step was going home as quicker as possible to to listen Union with the volume at the higher level .This is the only way all the Yes classics should be listen ! But i forget to get more information about this piece of crap! First of all , this is not a Yes album . There is so many aditonal musitians in this record that you just can regognise who is playing! Second, they called Jonathan Elias to be a producer and the guy treat this album as his solo work!He overproduced the musics and put his dirty finger and bad taiste overall. Third, it was not an album recorded by the 8 members together in a studio , giving each other their opinion and effort, sharing and discussing ideas . Actually is a sum-up of 2 different bands , the Yes east and the Yes west in their worse moments . If you heard the A,B,W&H musics you just can see if they had workout better the compositions and arrangements it could be a great Yes album! There is plenty of good melodies , just lost in the hand of this criminal producer Jonathan Elias. He should be in jail for the rest of his life! The other Yes line-up musics (sure, this an YEs album with two line-ups!)with Squire , White, Rabin and Kaye are also a nightmare. The only music that deserves to be listened is "The more we live", but it does not sound like Yes at all. If you like Yes music ,pls take my advise: STAY WAY FROM UNION! THIS IS AN INFAME ALBUM! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
