2 stars The debut album from these outsiders from the Norwegian black metal scene.

My memories from those days are a bit hazy though. My copy from those days was covered in dust too. Some washing up liquid did the business though.

Not even Zalo xtra strenght will save this album from the timewarp. Venom/Bathory like blasting and black metal vocals starts the ball and dominates the airwaves. There are some acoustic and new age sound collages interludes which breaks up the blasting. I prefer blasting throughout instead of these pretty boring interludes. Fire and water = fog. I don't like fog. Neither in real life or on a music album.

The brand of black metal here is the old style standard run of the mill black metal though. The quality is not that great either. This is an acceptable debut album and nothing more. I hope their other albums (newly aqquired by myself) is better than this.
