3 stars 3.5 stars. It would be unusual to get a sampler that i'd give 4 stars to simply because there is usually a wide array of musical styles making it difficult to not have at least a few tracks that i'm not into. This one is unusual in that I do find it consistantly good but still there's a couple of tunes that I don't like. Some surprises here too with bands I didn't previously know who impressed me.

"Glass House" by BLACKFIELD is such a feel good tune and with Steven Wilson singing how could it not be. I don't have this latest record from BLACKFIELD but I instantly liked this track. It's a top three for me.

"Home" from IO EARTH is excellent with female vocals. A new band to me and I like them. She has a great voice. "Bury You Alive" by DEADLY CIRCUS FIRE is heavy to start but it settles back before a minute with whispered vocals. It's heavy again. Some good bass in this one. Not bad at all.

"Lucifer's Dance" by ENNIS TOLA does little for me. Yes it's catchy with flute but... GAZPACHO is up next with "Snail" a top three for me. How good is this ! Lots of emotion too.

"Time To Go" by KONCHORDAT was a surprise considering i've never heard of them before. I would describe this as Neo-Prog and I love the atmosphere. The guitar soars before 5 1/2 minutes. They really remind me of IQ late.Excellent track. "Traces" by NINE STONES CLOSE is almost as good as the previous tune. Another band i'm not aware of who uses atmosphere to great effect. They contrast the light and heavy sections well too.

ODD DIMENSION is a Metal band and the sound quality is what impresses me the most with this track called "The Ecstacy Of Hopes". The singer sounds like Axel Rose. Another good song.

"Path Of Dying Truth" from PINKROOM is my favourite song on here.Violins to start then heaven breaks forth with vocals. So good ! Love the bass. It kicks in harder after 4 1/2 minutes. Please check this band out ! "Al Despertar" by Jose Carballido ends it with my least favourite track.

This is my favourite Prognosis sampler so far.
