THE MAGICIAN CHRONICLES - PART I

This is my first review on PA, it will be brief: I really, really like this album so far. I'm still on the first track, and if this record stays the course, I may end up giving it 5 stars... We can toss about the comparisons to Yes, Flower Kings, Magic Pie, A.C.T,Gentle Giant Spock's Beard, etc. But these guys have crafted a really great album that can stand up to the best of the others. This is prog how I like it best: loads of dynamics, light and shade, strong vocals, interesting melodies and harmonies, challenging musicianship, etc. Right now, I'm giving it 4.5, but again, I may revise this upward. Hats off to BRIGHTEYE BRISON!!!
