5 stars Well, I was led to this band by thr track on the Classic rock Presents Prog mag .....An EP? Well..... it's nearly 40 mins long .... which is longer than many classic albums of the vinyl age .... so let's consider this the 1st album. That said, what do we get?` Not too easily defined ... and that's a good thing! This should appeal to fans of Neo-prog; prog metal; Heavy prog .etc, etc. There a lot of variety in here ...... ..... it's thoughtful music and lyrics executed with genuine skill. ... and it should be heard by a wide audience Yes theires a touch of Dream Theater ... but there's a lot more ... intelligent articulate, musical muscle and technical ability hand that remains very accesable

And then we come to the production! Normally, when I see "self-produced" , my heart sinks .... but actually the production is pretty damn good .... oh, I'm sure the perfectionist out there will nit pick ..... but I think these guys have some knob twiddling skills (ooh er!). It certainly doesn't detract from the material - so don't be put off buying it.

All in al, this 5track debut stands up very well, and shows considerable individuality and talent ... i think these guys should get the chance to impress us with a sophmore effort .... so go buy their 'EP' from their website and try it yourself ... i think you'll be surprised what this young band can do. Hopefully, they'll be inclined to record some more!

For me, this stands well above the many, many non-descript albums that are being produced in the 'prog' scene right now .... yes we get quantity .... but as to quality ... not so sure about that.

In contrast, A Torn Mind will show you something fresh with their 5 song, 39 minutes debut that many others can't in their catalogues of over long 80 min disks of bland repetitive 'android prog' .... It's good to hear such freshness .... give it a try
