3 stars The third album sees Guru Guru come of age.

The band has got a lot more technical abilities and is not afraid of flaunting it on this album instead of hiding their previous lack of abilities behind a haze of hazy trippy spaced out music. Guru Guru is so much more here on planet earth on this album. That kind of also takes out a bit of their previous charm from the band though and can be a double edged sword.

K'nguru is not a standard rock album though. The music here are still pretty spaced out and the sound is great throughout. K'nguru has indeed an excellent crystal clear production. What is missing though is some really great tracks and hooks. The music sounds a bit too standard for my liking and I am waiting forever for a great hook to get hooked on. It never arrives. But this is still a good album and one Kraut rock lovers will appreciate more than I do.
