3 stars To me, this album is much better than the current rating suggests. I like it better than most other Hawkwind releases from the late eighties and the nineties, basically because it is the one album on which Dave Brock & company truly adapt themselves to the era of electronic dance music. This album is by no means dance music, but it offers a very nice modern update on the usual hawkwind soundscapes. It's dense, it floats and (a few minor faults aside) works really well from beginning to end.

Certainly not essential Hawkwind - if you are looking for that: go buy their early seventies output - but it's a nice addition to their catalogue
