2 stars I feel obliged to give this album a low mark because it's simply overrated as hell. In fact, I passionately hate it. Why? Its lyrically poor, the music is old and tired, and it's all just over- glorified blues with some dodgy added sound effects. This all culminates in the most pretentious album in prog rock history, or possibly, rock history! To think Pink Floyd are considered by millions to be on the high-art level of contemporary composers, or even among the most artful proggers ? give me a break! They are really just any old band with a formula for pop success, and outside of "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and "Meddle", they are the prog band for the most musically clueless.
