3 stars With the last two albums being double albums Space Revolver is a nice change from this trend. Flower Power and Stardust We Are are both great albums, but do have a lot of filler and weaker tracks which bring down the rating. Space Revolver doesn't have this problem, (or at least to a much lesser degree), making it better overall.

The epic of this track is "I am the Sun" (10/10) and bookends the album in two parts. This song is amazing and rivals Stardust We Are of Garden of Dreams in awesomeness. Perhaps the only weak thing about this song (a problem shared with many) is the whole "I left my Heart in San Francisco business, but other than that it is perfect.

"Dream On Dreamer" (4/10) is a slower tune with the bass and saxophone, but not very exciting. What is exciting, however, is the next song "Rumble Fish Twist," (10/10) which starts very upbeat in a way that reminds me of the Dixie Dregs. The second half is slower and sounds similar to Weather Report.

Monster Within is an interesting song. It's definitely one of the heavier songs, but I otherwise don't know what to say about it, perhaps because it is hard to follow.

"Chicken Farmer Song" (7/10) is melodic and upbeat with good vocals. The following song "Underdog" (7/10) also has great vocals but in a much more dramatic tone.

"You Don't Know What You've Got" (3/10) is a rather weak ballad. "Slave to Money" (7/10) is a good track with some great melodic parts and an epic tempo change about 2:30 into the song. The following "A King's Prayer" (8/10) is also a nice melodic piece with one of Roine's best solos.

The album ends with a continuation of I am the Sun which is almost as good as the first.

Overall the album is an improvement over the past two albums filler wise, but still has the same quality of songs, especially in I Am the Sun and Rumble Fish Twist. 7/10
