I don't know what these guys had in mind when they got together but if their purpose was to create and record some light, refreshing and unpretentious music, they completely succeeded.

So don't expect for complex rhythm changes or weird experimentation. All we have got here are simple but beautiful songs with classic verse-chorus-verse construction. Not very progressive indeed but still highly enjoyable.

In fact, this album reminds me a lot -in a good way !- of some neo prog more commercial attempts of late 80's, which is not very surprising considering Kino's line-up. I am especially impressed by John Mitchell's voice and guitar play but, when it comes to musical skills, I think that all the musicians here have proved enough.

Picture contains 10 songs, all addictive and well crafted with many sing-along choruses. If you get the special edition with DVD, you can see how the guys looked during their second concert : nice (seemingly) average people playing some nice music for a small crowd in a small place. The essence of rock music to me.

This album should be prescribed by doctors as an antidote to moroseness .
