5 stars This album is probably the most representative of what a "progressive masterpice" means. I don't think in terms "better or worse" when i talk about music because everything is subjective, but this album really provides most of the qualities i find possitive in a prog rock album. It's not fair to me to consider it the best prog album ever but it is this site's number one and it is in my top 20 for sure. Outstanding composition, great musicmanship, right balance of chaos and order, creative arrangements, very nice instrumentation, wide range of feelings provoked, etc. Ion Anderson's timbre is not among my favourite ones but i don't care because he's a great singer and i can't imagine Yes without his voice! I listen to this since i was 14 (i think) and the first time i heard it i could not believe the strong feelings it provoked me. I wish i could erase my memory and listen to this masterpiece for the fist time again, and be surprised by the magnificent beauty of this music. 5 stars well deserved!
