4 stars Only being avaliabe in the Nightwish Online shop at this time. It is unknown why Nightwish chose to re-release Sleeping Sun.

But in any case, the album is quite refreshing, and in ways very interesting. By this I mean the comparison between Tarja singing it all those years ago, (the original version), to the new version of them performing it on this single, you can hear the difference in her level of singing and how much better it has gotten. You can also tell that theband has not lost its touch at all, or even re-altered the way it orginally sounded.

The radio edit, isnt too bad despite only having about 20 or so seconds cut down of it.

All in all, I think this is a good single, one defently worth getting if you want to just listen and relax.

Also their is a DVD version of this single, containing a new video that was shot for Sleeping Sun, though I have nly seen a clip of it, I am quite impressed.

And if anyone has purchased the recent Best of Nightwish: Highest Hopes, you will find that Sleeping Sun on there is the 2005 version, not the orginal.
