NUGGETS 2

If the first box-set of Nuggets had a historical existence and importance, this second box-set is no-less important but has no lenghty existence. But the fact that this second box-set was released makes it just as important as its original Artyfact. As we saw elsewhere, the first Nuggets concentrated on the US only, but clearly that phenomenon did exist a bit all over the planet (albeit not as strong as in the US), so this second Nuggets collection concentrates on the UK (mostly) but also in far away places such as Peru, Australia, Mexico, Canada and Continental Europe.

The remarks that stood for the first Nuggets collection apply here - so feel free to read up that review as well - and the selection may appear a bit looser (some probably painful choices had to occur to cover the whole planet), but I assure that this Nuggets collection is just as worthy as the first one, but unfortunately the artwork on the booklets, although completely different, is just not as imaginative as Nuggets 1. Minor remark, though!

Recently appeared a third Nuggets collection that is taking its track selection from the end of this mid-60's era until 95, but I cannot guarantee that this third instalment of Nuggets is quite as worthy as the first two I reviewed! Not progressive per se, but essential for the open-minded proghead.
