1 stars Gentle Giant is one of my favourite progbands, so I decided to buy this CD. It was truly disappointment because of live recording quality. One highlight I could dredge up from my memory is nice recorder group soloing in The Advent Of Panurge, which I would like to hear with better quality. Maybe I should get rid of this record and check their official live record, Playing The Fool. Think twice if you're going to buy a bootleg.

2 stars A definate bootleg quality recording on this one. The first seven songs were taken from a concert in Italy, Jan. of 1973. The sound goes in and out all during this concert. It's muffled at times, then a little in your face. You can hear Ray sing alright, but instruments dropped out with no regard, very frustrating. Then, before you know it, the concert stops dead! UGH! The last two songs were taken from a German TV show. There is no date given, but the sound does improve immensely, yet it's a tad sharp and loud. The ONLY reason to pick this up is to hear some songs you don't normally hear on their other live albums: "Way Of Life", "Nothing At All", (with a too long drum solo, which at times is hard to hear!) and "Plain Truth". It's interesting hearing these older tunes which they apparantly dropped as they moved into 1974 with the "Power and the Glory" tour. For a better representation, "Playing the Fool" is the live album to get. This disc is for diehards only!
