This one has a different sound than its two previous ones. It is less Genesis or Marillion derivated but not really more original . Hundreds of new prog bands sound like this -Hamadryad, High Wheel, Valinor Tree, etc....

It took TWIN AGE three years to follow up their excellent "Lialim High" album from 1997. Much has happen musically since then. This is far from the band I learned to love when I first heard their debut CD "Month of the Year" in 1996. I guess they were fed up with all these people saying they were GENESIS-clones, but I liked them that way.

With their new album "Moving the Deckchairs" they have washed away all their GENESIS similarities. Their new direction points towards a more modern neo-progressive rock with fewer instrumental passages. They have also incorporated female vocals by Ida R�nn. She has a very good voice and it suits TWIN AGE's new sound very well.

The CD-booklet has a more modern layout too. Besides Johan Hansson's unmistakable vocals there isn't much left of the old TWIN AGE. It's up to each one to decide whether they like the old sound or the new sound better. Although I liked "Lialim High" more I think they have to stay on the new road to develop their own style, even though I'm full of doubt. All in all this is a very nice album. Let's see what the future will bring.

After 'Lialim High', this cd is a great diappointment. Most of the tracks are shorter than those in ' Lialim High', and therefore the band has little opportunity to play to its strengths,namely long,melodic instrumental passages with lush keyboard backing. The vocals, which were the weak point on the previous album, are even worse here. There are one or two longer tracks and the occasional catchy shorter piece, but this sounds to me like a band which has run out of ideas.
