3 stars 'Neverender 12%' - Coheed & Cambria (Compilation)

To be honest, I don't see the point in arranging a series of mostly lesser known tracks together in such a way. As far as the music goes, I like all of the songs here. It's all good Coheed & Cambria material. 'Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness' is actually one of the best selections of Coheed material in their catalogue. However, people who know these songs (and therefore be inclined to possibly purchase the compilation) would already have these albums. So why bother?

A good thing about this compilation though is that it helps you look at the songs in a different way; separate from the set they were given on their own respective albums. 'Wake Up' works out to be a terrific ending song, and I would have never realized that unless it had been presented to me that way.

A totally unnecessary release, but given a very good price, listeners who had previously only been exposed to the 'hits' of Coheed & Cambria might benefit from checking this out.
