3 stars Small Beginnings/ Morning Haze is the first single released by Flash, released shortly after their self-titled debut. The band still sounds pre-mature on this single, and album in general, as they had no general direction, like many other bands on their first album.

Small Beginnings is a song based on Banks' guitar triplets, and Carter's acoustic guitar playing. It's a fast-paced song, closely resembling Overture by Rush, speed related. Morning Haze is more of an acoustic song, in a mellow and relaxed mood. It can fit when you're falling asleep, or just want a mellow song to chill you out.

Overall, 3/5, as I think I'd settle with In the Can/ Out of Our Hands Flash.
