This is the second release in the Canterbury Archive Project series which is being compiled by Brian Hopper. Many of these recordings are documents of the development of the artists and Canterbury and they come from a variety of sources including home reel to reel tapes and cassettes to reference discs and vinly.
Song notes:
Track 1. Recorded live in 1970 at a Caravan gig in East Kent
Track 2. Put together for a BBC broadcast in 1969
Track 3. A demo tape made in January 1969 to provide Brian Hopper with the guidelines for his sax parts to be featured on Soft Machine Volume Two
Track 6. A recording of Brian Hopper's outfit, from a 1970 rehearsal
Track 7. A recording from 1963
Track 8. Pye Hastings working out the orchestral string arrangements.
Track 9. with Brian and Hugh Hopper, an unknown drummer with Robert on cello
