3 stars The album "Transcendent" with English lyrics in my opinion suffered badly because of Edwin Balogh's lead vocals. He is a competent singer, but for me OMEGA always associated with the voice of János Kóbor. On ''Tower of Babel'' single the band made a good trick - vocal duties are shared equally between two singers. János Kóbor has recognizable timbre, while Edwin has better English pronunciation. As a result the record sounds like OMEGA and without noticeable accent.

Selection of songs is also good. The title track (originally called ''Babylon'' on 1987 album) and ''Tide Will Turn'' (English version of ''Fekete pillangó'' from ''Omega XII'') are among the best OMEGA songs from the 80s. ''Break the Chain'' and ''Tomorrow'' are the most memorable songs from "Transcendent". Hardly essential, but nice record.
