3 stars This EP/Single was released as promotional material for the band's 2003-release The Stix. It features the track Day in both its original and remixed forms, a composition titled Two Things that was originally released on a 2-CD Norwegian compilation album called Money Will Ruin Everything plus a shortened down remix of Reminders.

Since Day was never one of my personal favorites among the wide array of material available on The Stix it didn't really make much sense to me as a single. Compared to the previous album's marvelous Animal Chin this is a pretty average composition for Jaga Jazzist that doesn't really say much about the band nor their style. Naturally the composition didn't appeal to me any differently on this release than what it did previously although I did manage to enjoy the prolonged remix version of the track more than what I anticipated. The new track titled Two Things isn't really all that great and I can definitely see why the band chose against adding it to any of their studio releases. While the quirky remix of Reminders, that was one of my favorites off the original release, sounds very disorganized and sporadic meaning that it's fun listening to a couple of times but not really a great remix in the long run.

Overall this EP serves its promotional purpose without actually adding anything spectacular to the already distinguished Jaga Jazzist discography. Therefore a good, but non-essential release.

**** star songs: Day (3:16) Day (Herbert's Garden Mix) (5:23)

*** star songs: Two Things (3:55) Reminders (DAT Politics' "Cha Cha Laxist" Mix) (3:44)
