3 stars A sampler of the up and coming bands of 2003.

If I have understood the history of this release correctly, this CD was issued with two main purposes: Fundraising for the website prog4you.com; and promotion for relatively unknown but up and coming bands in the prog scene in 2003.

Both the website this was made for as well as the individual artists found this CD to be a good vehicle serving both their purposes.

This is by no means a killer compilation of 100% must have tunes though, but there's quite a lot of interesting music and good musical talent being showcased here.

And as a historical document this release is well worth having in itself; compilations of "new" bands from several labels is somewhat of a rarity these days.
