3 stars Tribute to Miles Davis played by his classic quintet in same line up as in Miles times, just with Wallace Roney instead of Miles himself.

It's nice to hear great musicians after so many years playing together again, it's great to hear Hancock playing with Wayne Shorter and Tony Williams as one team! But as many similar releases, this album leaves mixed feeling: music is still great classics, musicians all are of highest class, but compositions are played close to originals, adding some contemporary jazz feel into post-bop, and Wallace Roney is good trumpeter, but far not such original and expressive as Miles.

Nice nostalgic music, played by excellent musicians but this album doesn't add much to Miles legacy or to musical legacy of any of participated musicians. Kind of quality memorabilia, I can say.
