3 stars This is the third of the Progstravaganza compilations, the first released in this 2011, and also the first that features enough tracks to be considered as a double-CD album due to its almost two hours length. This decision may be a two-nail knife because in one hand you have the chance of listening to more bands (more music, of course) which opens the gates to new tastes and genres, but in the other hand you may not have the mood of listening to lone tracks by so many bands in just one album.

I really like this initiative, which is why I have kept downloading the compilations, however I honestly prefer the shorter versions, because it is really difficult to me to completely listen to the long ones, it is more common to play two or three tracks and then change the album, but it is only me. However, as I previously said it has its pros and cons, the main pro is that I know new bands and some tracks make me want to explore more about the artist.

Some of them really caught my attention, I could mention Seven That Spells, Spaced Out and Temple of the Smoke, to name a few, and some of them such as All Over Everywhere, Poseidótica or Vespero were already in my knowledge, so it is a rich mixture. Talking about mixtures, this third progtravaganza comprises mostly the psychedelic side of progressive rock, but you can find a couple of symphonic tracks, and even some jazzy ones.

My special mention goes for the last track "Smokin'" by First Band From Outer Space, with its fifteen minutes you can have a wonderful trip that alone is worth the download. Well, if you like compillation albums it is definitely worth downloading, if you want to know new bands and have a diversity of tastes, download it too, but I warn you that if you are like me, you may not listen to it completely after you once did it.

Still kudos for Prog Sphere Promotions, the bands themselves have to be happy to be featured in albums like these, but this time my grade will be three stars, for the reasons above explained.

Enjoy it!
