1 stars PIKE 221 - COVE CLOUD is the 2nd album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2016

Released on January 12, 2016

This album is ALL instrumental

BUCKETHEAD plays all the instruments heard

The album clocks in near the 30 minute mark, this one at 29:08

This album contains two tracks: one titled COVE (23:43) and one titled CLOUD (5:05)

"Cove" is basically the whole album. It begins with a mellow acoustic guitar and slow tempo accompanied by bass and drums. It's very much like the last PIKE in fact. It basically goes on and on and on. Repeating riff with some mellow solos. I'm finding this boring even as background music while i'm doing other things. This is basically a riff loop that repeats. It goes on and on and on. I'm personally not even finding this interesting as passive music and anxiously awaiting it to be over.

"Cloud" is a slow ethereal number that incorporates guitar. It is percussionless with an ambient background and very minimal guitars. Not very exciting and actually quite boring.

I find this PIKE very lackluster and certainly not one that i have the remotest interest in hearing again because there is simply nothing on here that is interesting unless you've never heard any other music.
