2 stars YMO are great fun. Kraftwerk meet Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark meet Japan [the band!] circa THE TIN DRUM, meet electronic music from some HIGHLY outdated computer games. Some songs are in Japanese, some in cod English, some melodies sound vaguely East Asian, some were actually written for Japanese TV commercials. Definitely NOT for romantic souls, but perfect when you've got to wash up a huge pile of dishes.
