Soma biography
Founded in Los Angeles, USA in 1978

SOMA was a progressive rock group from Los Angeles, California led by Mark LAUREN GLEED and Guy ECKSTINE. They released one very obscure album despite featuring on the record Allan HOLDSWORTH and also musicians like Dave KOZ, Nathan EAST, Patrick O'HEARN, Pops POPWELL, and Victor Bailey among many others. The album can be recommended for it's unique American style of 80's fusion with influence from the likes of FRANK ZAPPA.

Sometime in 2000's GLEED revived the project and additional sessions were done with HOLDSWORTH and also Tony LEVIN for an upcoming album that would be released around 2010 but the record that was called 'Neverwasneverwillbe' from the get go, was never made and those unfinished sessions were never released officially and reached the public only as rough demo mixes.
