One Step From the Edge biography
The Tech/Extreme Progressive Metal band ONE STEP FROM THE EDGE comes from Ioannina, Greece and was formed in 2016. This sextet consists of Alex SERETIS (vocals), Vasilis PAPPAS (guitars), Michael MAMAKIS (guitars), Kostas POURGIAZIS (bass), Mikos STAKAS (drums), and Maria MOSXETA (keys, programming).

The band's name was inspired by an image of a man wavering between life and death in front of an edge (or on the brink), though it symbolizes any important decision that determines his course in life. In 2017, the band recorded and released their debut album Beneath the Surface. Their 2nd album The Deafening Silence was released in 2020.

Their music is a mix of many metal genres including tech trash, heavy Americana, metalcore and can be best described as a melodic metalcore with a progressive edge with both clean and dirty vocal styles. Fans of S.P.A.W.N., SKEPTOR, KILLEM, EYES WIDE OPEN, ORACLES and ANUBIS GATE should enjoy their sound.
