Black Painted Moon biography
Black Painted Moon is a band from the province of Venice, formed in August 2011 by Carlo Lugnan, Damiano AFFINITO (guitarists), and Carlo MEZZALIRA (drummer), to which keyboardist Francesco BORTOLUSSI is subsequently added. The line-up after some changes will be established in January 2013 with the arrival of Wafa EL ABASSI (vocals) and Marco MINARDI (bass). In April of the same year, they record their first EP Seasons in the studio and will qualify among the finalists of the 2013 edition of Music Mestre Growing and then win in the next edition and win the Anima la Maratona contest organized by the Venice Marathon. In 2015 the band, after having passed the selections, plays at the Tempesta Rock Inferno festival and wins the contest of the Marghera Estate Village.


The concept album ''Personae'' took 5 years to be released finally in May 2020. It's divided into two acts and follows the struggles of three characters. The music is inspired by Progressive Metal of bands like HAKEN and DREAM THEATER with a female singer.
