The Water Witch biography
THE WATER WITCH are a British progressive black metal quartet, formed in Yorkshire in 2010. The band consists of members of A FOREST OF STARS, namely the lineup featured on their debut album "The Corpse of Rebirth" - Dan EYRE, aka Mister Curse (vocals), Jon CUMISKY (vocals/guitars/bass), Richard BLAKELOCK (keyboards/percussion) and Katie STONE (vocals/violin/flute). The band describes their work as "[m]usic inspired by the power of the land and the sun."

Their sole album, "The Heavens in Traction" was independently released digitally in 2012, with a proper CD release via Akashic Records following the year after. The revised version featured a different tracklist, with a reworked version of their song "Illuminance," now titled "The Soul of the World." THE WATER WITCH are easily recommended to fans of early A FOREST OF STARS, as well as ASHENSPIRE, CODE, BLUT AUS NORD, SPECTRAL LORE and LICE.
