Ui biography
UI were a North American post-rock ensemble based in New York City from 1990 to 2003. Consisting of bassists Sasha Frere-JONES and Wilbo WRIGHT with drummer Clem WALDMANN, UI released three albums and four EPs during their existence (one of which a collaboration with Stereolab under the name Uilab, featuring four covers of "St. Elmo's Fire" by Brian ENO). Erik SANKO joined as the band's third bassist in 2003 for the recording of their final album, Answers.

UI's groovy funk and dub-influenced approach will appeal to fans of Tortoise, Dianogah, Ganger, Billy Mahonie and Rothko.
