Aseitas biography
ASEITAS is an American blackened technical death metal group hailing from Portland, Oregon. Formed in 2017, ASEITAS consists of bassist and vocalist Nathan NIELSON, guitarists Travis FORENCICH and Gage DEAN, and drummer Zack RODRIGUES.

After issuing a two-song demo, the band independently released their eponymous debut in 2018 through their self-established label Lizard Brain Records; the LP featured a guest appearance by Kevin HUFNAGEL of DYSRHYTHMIA and GORGUTS on the song "City of Stone." Afterwards, ASEITAS would become a quintet with the addition of guitarist Jonah BADDEN, and in 2020 the band saw their sophomore album False Peace released jointly through Lizard Brain and Translation Loss Records. Its lyrical themes, as explained by NIELSON, are of "self-loathing, feelings of failure and cowardice, abuse, disdain for the world and the conditions it has forced upon us, and letting the worst aspects of yourself make decisions for you."

ASEITAS' dissonant, mathcore-inspired style sounds like a blend of CAR BOMB, BARING TEETH, MESHUGGAH, ION DISSONANCE, ULCERATE, PYRRHON and GOJIRA.
