Oksana Linde biography
OKSANA LINDE was born 1948 in Caracas. Her Ukrainian parents had to leave Europe due to World War II. In Venezuela she initially started a career as a scientific researcher in chemistry. Though in 1981 some severe illness forced her to give up her profession. She alternatively devoted her time to music and art further on. And so Linde developed to a pioneering person in the men dominated electronic scene of her country.

In her small home studio she started to compose and record cosmic sounds with Ambient and Berlin School character on diverse analog synthesizers like Polymoog and Korg. Almost all of her vast archive of recordings remained unreleased. And so the appearance of the album 'Aquatic And Other Worlds' in 2022 marks a real sensation. Released on Buh-Records from Peru it compiles recordings made between 1983 and 1989.

Linde's music is intensely hypnotic and psychedelic, but also melodic and playful. She programs and plays all the instruments, and develops melodic lines that are superimposed on loops and sequences, as well as various layers of reverberant and floating sounds that come and go. This establishes a cinematic narrative, very typical regarding the tradition of synthesizer music.
