DAY FOR AIRSTRIKES is a post rock band from Manchester, United Kingdom formed in 2002. Ever since its formation the band has underwent a few lineup changes. In 2005 they released their first EP entitled "Secret Whale" which was received well by fans. In 2006 the band released their first full length entitled "Widows" through Roadkill Records and Piccadilly Records. The band is currently working on their follow up album.

Their current lineup consists of Ian Breen (guitar, bass, acoustic guitar, mini drums, vibraphone, hammond organ, glockenspiel, synthesizer, tenori-on), Danny Jones (drums, percussion), Wes Roskell (guitar, bass, e-bow, piano, vocals), John Simpson (guitar, acoustic guitar, glockenspiel, mini drums) and Adam Skerritt (guitar, piano, glockenspiel, e-bow, synthesizer, vocals).
