Founded in Rome, Italy in 1999

VOID OF SILENCE is an experimental metal band from Rome, Italy. They were originally formed by Riccardo Conforti (drums, keyboards, samples) and Ivan Zara (guitar, bass). They wanted to bring two major influences into their recordings. The dark, ambient, industrial Goth textures and doom metal.

They recorded a MCD "Remembrance" in 1999, but it was never released. After the MCD, they composed their debut album "Toward the Dusk" from November 1999 to July of 2000 bringing in vocalist, Malfeitor Fabbon (ABORYM, FUNERAL ORATION, MALFEITOR, KALKI AVATARA). They released their debut album in 2001 as a Limited Edition of 800 copies on Nocturnal Records.

In 2002, the band released their sophomore effort "Criteria ov 666" on Code666 Records. After this release, Malfeitor Fabbon left the band and was replaced by Alan Nemtheanga (PRIMORDIAL). In 2004, they released their third studio album "Human Antithesis."
