Session VII biography
SESSION VII is a progressive metal band from Rimouski, Quebec formed in the summer of 2003. The groups original line-up included Simon Guénette (guitar), Martin Allard (drums), Pierre Vignola (bass), and Mylène Poirier (keyboards) who all previously played in the band IMORTELLYS. The progressive metal group started this studio project featuring seven vocalists: Gino Butcher, Mario Landry, Denis Coullard, Steve Gray, Dave Pouliot, Yohan Horth and Patrick Deschênes. They also brought in Pierre-Luc Demers (guitar) for their first album "Conditionnelle" which was released in December of 2004.

After their debut release Pierre-Luc Demers (guitar) and Yohan Horth (vocals) became official members of the band and they released their sophomore album "Chaos." "Chaos" is a concept album based on Greek mythology. The live show was presented on three giant screens that accompanied each act of the story line.

Pierre-Luc Demers had to leave band due to health reasons and was replaced by Denis Oullet. Mylène Poirier, one of the founding members of the group, also left the band.

SESSION VII are currently working on their third studio album.

SESSION VII play a unique blend of traditional progressive metal with stylistic elements from their influences DREAM THEATER, INTO ETERNITY and DEVIN TOWNSEND. They were approved by the Prog Metal Team and are highly recommended.
