PITBULLS IN THE NURSERY is a progressive metal band from Rambouillet, Paris, France consisting of Simon (guitar), Mat (guitar), Steven (bass), Cedric (vocals) and Jerry (drums).

In 2001, they recorded a three track demo "Impact" produced by Alex Phelipot with an initial run of 200 copies and a further run of 500 copies.

The following years the band would tour extensively throughout Europe and supported such acts as ABORTED, GOJIRA, GRONIBARD, KAIZEN, NO RETURN, YYRKOON, KORUM, KLONE, BENIGHTED, and TREPALIUM.

Their debut album "Lunatic" would be recorded and mixed by Laurentx Etxemendi at Studio des Milans in December of 2004 and engineered by Jean-Pierre Bouquet at L'Autre Studio in January of 2005. The album would be self released under the "La Meute" banner, then officially licensed to Greece's Black Lotus Records.
