Paradox biography
UK act PARADOX is the creative vehicle of composer and multi-instrumentalist Dave Russel. Following three albums with a band called Zakir he felt the need to create a solo album, issued in 1997 under the project name Paradox.

A band was assembled to perform this music at live events; and for the second album Ecliptic; released in 1999, most of these musicians participated in the studio as well.

It's this second venture that caused some degree of interest from progressive circles; first and foremost comparing the music on this production to the likes of Ozric Tentacles, but also noting influences from Gong, Steve Hillage and David Gilmour.
