Circle of Contempt biography
Finnish extreme metal outfit CIRCLE OF CONTEMPT were formed in 2006. Originally named THRUST MOMENT, Riku HAAVISTO, Risto-Matti TOIVONEN, Markus KARHUMAKI and JP KAUKONEN got together to write and perform current-day extreme progressive metal, with all features common for the style: low-tuned guitars, aggressive hardcore/death vocals, reckless time-signatures and the occasional melodious break serving as chorus.

In 2010, the group was signed to the American label Sumerian Records, home of similar minded bands like THE FACELESS and BORN OF OSIRIS. They recorded and released their first album in spring 2010.
