Midian biography
Another Italian prog-rock band, but this outfit has still a long way to go. The use of violin in this type of hard rock/metal is pretty innovative, but some flaws keep this band from reaching their potential. First, the vocals are OK, especially for an Italian band, but they are way forward in the mix and often overpower the instrumentation. The arrangements are actually quite good and the band has an interesting sound. The band definitely has some talent which is reflected in some nice playing.

3 stars One of the underground bands from Italian prog movement from early '90s is Midian with only one album issued so far in 1994 named Soul inside. Well, this was quite intresting to my ears, a type of prog metal with violin, quite original , you don't hear lots of bands from prog metal zone having a violin in their arrangements, but, their is a but. The arrangements lack in great potential, I mean they playing all right from start to finish but is without sparks, no real high here. The voice of Foggi is ok most of the time, even is far from excellent. All pieces let's say are ok most of the time, but not really impressive passages to be found. Decent work by this obscure band. 3 stars is best I can give
